New 1 402 COVID-19 cases in North Macedonia, 29 patients die

The Health Ministry of North Macedonia informs that according to the data provided by the Public Health Institute – PHI, in the past 24 hours 3 978 tests were done and 1 402 new cases of COVID-19 were discovered.

Nearly half of the new cases are from the capital Skopje – 603, and the cities with second highest number of infections are Bitola, with 105 new cases, Kumanovo with 84 and Veles with 82 new cases.

In the same 24-hour period, 761 people recovered and 29 patients died. Ten of the deceased patients were from Skopje.

The total number of COVID-19 diagnosed cases in North Macedonia since the outbreak of the pandemic is 131 424, the number of patients who recovered is 107 740 and the death toll is 3 810. The number of the active cases is 19 894.
