730 citizens in North Macedonia vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday, on the first day of mass vaccination

Yesterday, 730 people were vaccinated at various vaccination sites throughout North Macedonia, on the first day of the vaccination of the general population in the country, and on average, 30 to 55 people have received a jab at one vaccination site, announced the Health Ministry.

According to the data provided by the Moj termin e-service, the turnout of people aged above 77 who were the fist to receive the jabs was high yesterday i.e. only 2% of the people that have scheduled a term, haven’t received the jab.

The persons who comprise the 1B group, received their jabs in Skopje i.e. at the Jane Sandanski, Chair, and Bukuresht Medical Centres, as well as the Medical Centres in Prilep, Ohrid, Gostivar, Shtip, Kumanovo, Veles, Bitola, Strumica, and the hospital in Kavadarci.

Tomorrow, the vaccination is expected to start in other cities and towns: Tetovo, Struga, Negotin, Kriva Palanka, Vevchani, Valandovo, Rostushe, Gostivar, Gevgelija, Delchevo, Sveti Nikole, Resen, Demir Hisar, Krushevo, Makedonska Kamenica, Kratovo, Kichevo, Kochani, Radovish, Vinica, Probishtip, Debar, Pehchevo and Makedonski Brod.

“The vaccination is being carried out out at existing vaccination sites at medical institutions in the cities. The vaccination stations are working from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., from Monday to Friday. The scheduling of the term is made by a primary care physician who is obliged to inform every citizen about his or her schedule for vaccination and the vaccination site at a medical institution,” informs this ministry.
