MFA: Macedonian citizens in Turkey are safe

Macedonian citizens who are currently in Turkey are safe, and there have been no reports of casualties or deaths of Macedonian nationals, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki has been in contact via telephone with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who has assured him that the Turkish authorities are working on restoring peace and order in Turkey and will soon remove all possible threats in the country.

The MFA has reported that they have noticed that movement on the Bulgarian-Turkish border and the Greek-Turkish border has slowed down considerably, and all flights from Skopje to Istanbul have been stopped.
