The railway connection and the determination of the connecting points between Macedonia and Bulgaria will intensify the cooperation of the railway companies, as well as the exchange of experiences by the expert teams, were just some of the topics discussed by the Director of the PE “Macedonian Railways – Infrastructure”, Irfan Asani and the Director of Bulgaria’s national railway infrastructure company, Milcho Lambrev, at a meeting held in Skopje.
During the meeting, Asani informed the Director of the Bulgarian railway company, that construction and projects for the railway connection between the two countries are ongoing and it is expected that by 2020, the rail link between Macedonia and Bulgaria will be ready.
According to Lambrev, the Bulgarian railways are currently projecting new routes for the railway line towards Macedonia.
The next meeting between the two executives will be in Sofia, and the main purpose will be better coordination between the two railway companies.
