“On December the 11th, I urge you all to come out and fulfill your right to vote and to fulfill your civil duty. I call on you to vote with sole discretion and to put your confidence into the party and the option you believe is the best choice for you and for the Republic of Macedonia”, reads President Gjorgi Ivanov’s message on the occasion of the early parliamentary elections.
He urged everyone involved in the electoral process to show a decent and worthy level of political culture and to uphold the Constitution and the laws of Macedonia.
“I call on the relevant institutions responsible for the regularity of the electoral process, to act in accordance within legal rules and regulations. They should not succumb to any pressure and show no tolerance or mercy for those who try to interfere or disrupt in any way, the electoral process. As a country, we can not allow arguments which will attempt to challenge and discredit the electoral process. In a democratic atmosphere, which suits a democratic country, I expect on December the 11th, the will of the people to be unanimously welcomed and recognized, which will mark the beginning of the end to the political crisis as well as the start of national reconciliation in the country”, said the message from Ivanov.
