Identification of bodies from “Piper” plane crash now confirmed

The relatives of those killed in the plane crash near the village of Kozle arrived at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at 19:00 last night, while the process of identifying the dead through DNA analysis lasted until 5:00 this morning, confirmed the Institute of Forensic Medicine, reports “Telma.”

By comparing DNA samples from relatives of the victims, the six Italian nationals were identified who were killed in the “Piper” plane crash. As reported by the media, the victims are those who were previously published.

Preparations are being made for the transportation of the bodies of the five Italian nationals to their country, while the Kosovan citizen with an Italian passport, Visar Begaj, will be buried in Kosovo.

The investigation into the causes of the crash continues, while authorities continue with the analysis of the evidence collected from the scene of the wreckage.

The plane crash occurred on Tuesday this week, around 17:40 pm, near the village of Kozle. The “Piper” plane was flying to Pristina from Treviso, however, it stopped at the airport in Skopje to refuel.
