The Basic Public Prosecutors Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption announced that it ended its investigation that started in March this year and filed an indictment for four employees of the Directorate for Security and Counterintelligence (UBK), i.e the Secret Police.
According to the prosecutors, the four persons in the period of 25th of January to 30th of May 2018, in 172 cases took money from the bank for special purposes of the Directorate (UBK) and without the approval of the Director or without setting up a Commission for the destruction of material documentation. Then they destroyed the evidence of the money spent.
With these actions they caused damage to the Budget of the State with a total of 824,000 euros, say from the Public Prosecutors Office.
