Bill on Prevention of and Protection against Discrimination envisages fines up to €10 000

The Government has sent to the Parliament of north Macedonia the new draft Law on Prevention of and Protection against Discrimination, which aims to improve the legal framework and adjust it to the EU’s legislation and the international standards about protection from discrimination.

The new law should cover all government bodies, the bodies of the local self-government, legal entities with public authorizations and other legal and physical persons. The new legal decision plans fines in the amount of up to €10.000 for the legal entities that were found to have discriminated somebody.
