Without going into details, Mayor of Gostivar Nevzat Bejta confirmed that there was an incident at last night’s meeting for election of leadership of the DUI branch in Struga, reports television Alsat-M.
Bejta, who as coordinator of DUI for the fifth constituency, supervised the electoral process in the branch and was forced to stop the meeting when there was a clash between two rival factions for election of the President of the Struga branch.
– The work of the Electoral Assembly started quite well. Leadership was elected. In the period when one of the candidates was elected for president of the local council, there was an incident. There was pushing and I ended the electoral process- said Bejta for Alsat-M.
Deputy Director of PRO, Argetim Asani, denied the information that he sought medical attention in Struga hospital for the portal “Portalb”, but he didn’t deny that last night there was a fight between two factions led by Ramiz Merko and Arben Labunishta, in which there was throwing of mobile phones and physical fistfight.
