Arifi: The attacks on Soros are bad both for the Macedonians and the Albanians

-

The whole phenomenon that is named as “desorosization” is bad for the processes in Macedonia both for the Macedonians and the Albanians, said the vice-president of DUI, Teuta Arifi in the TV show “Top tema”.

-Within the whole Albanian area, the media and the civil sector you won’t be able to find writings with animosity towards Soros’ activities. It proves that even within DUI one can find different opinions but that is not the party’s official stance. I think that whole phenomenon that is named as desorosoization is bad for the processes in Macedonia both for the Macedonians and the Albanians because no one in this country must forget the logic of the Soros foundation during the ‘90s when it was active in all of the countries in Eastern Europe including the countries of Former Yugoslavia. It’s about investments in civil and scientific elites, that these countries which came out of the Communism, weren’t able to support their scientific formation. All of those scholarships that were granted to citizens were an investment in the generations to come – said Arifi.

She added that anyone who gave his own contribution to the country’s democratization, has also given a contribution to the rights of the other ethnic communities and that has allowed for the creation of a more just society.
