The average monthly net salary paid per employee in August was 21, 882 denars. The index in August of 2015 compared to August last year was 103.1, according to the State Statistical Office.
This increase is due primarily to the increase in the average monthly net salary per employee in the sectors of Arts, Entertainment and Recreation, there is an increase of (11.9 percent), in Mining and Quarrying (7.8 percent) and Professional, Scientific and Technical activities (7.6 percent).
The increase in the average monthly net salary paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors of Professional, Scientific and Technical activities, and was at an increase of (8.3 percent), Accommodation and Food Services (5.2 percent) and Information and Communications also had an increase of (4.4 percent).
In August 2015, 1.2 percent of employees in Macedonia did not receive wages at all.
