Zaev: Those that vote will decide and those that won’t vote will not count at all

-

Prime Minister Zorn Zaev said that the referendum on the 30th of September, it will be decided by those who will cast their votes and those that won’t vote will not count at all. The vast majority of voters at the referendum will provide the MPs with the necessary directions forward.

-Those that vote will decide. Those that won’t vote will not count at all. I believe that the voice of the citizens, what they will decide, will be the direction where the political situation in Macedonia will be headed. Our decisions are worthless if the citizens don’t support them and won’t vote, as they have the last word – said Zaev when he replied to a question posted by a journalist whether the referendum will be successful, at today’s joint press conference with Minister of Justice, Renata Deskoska at the government.

He repeated his opinion that the referendum about the name as an idea came from VMRO-DPMNE 12 years ago.

-I will come out on the 30th of September and will vote “for.”The other political leaders should reveal their opinions because we are leading political subjects and our responsibility is to make decisions and to announce them to the citizens. If the majority of votes on the referendum are “against” then we shall annul the Agreement with Greece, but if the majority will vote “For” then we shall follow the direction that the citizens will provide – said Zaev.
