Zaev sends second letter to Ivanov telling him he will not accept his pardon

-

Opposition leader Zoran Zaev, sent a second letter to President Gjorge Ivanov, in which he announced that neither did he ask for a pardon, and nor will he accept it.

Zaev’s letter comes after President Gjorge Ivanov addressed the public and said he would not be withdrawing the decision to pardon 56 politicians and their close associates.

“We’re not all the same and we are not criminals. I am innocent and i will prove my innocence in a court of law, through proper procedure. I do not want to be pardoned or granted amnesty at all. I will not allow to be placed in the same group with real criminals from the government”, said Zaev in his letter.

He demands that his decision from April 12 on the pardons be annulled and Ivanov’s resignation and as he said in his letter, who “usurped the undemocratic and rigged elections.”
