Zaev from Sofia: We want a government by the example of Bulgaria

-

Our demand is to have a transitional government which will prepare Macedonia within six to nine months for parliamentary elections, said the leader of the opposition Social Democratic Union of Macedonia Zoran Zaev after the meeting with the Prime minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov, in Sofia, the news agency “Focus” reports.

– We have already launched talks in Macedonia, and on Tuesday the Commissioner for Regional Policy of EU, Johannes Hahn will arrive in Macedonia and together with him we will try to start negotiations – said Zaev.

According to him, their demand is to create a transitional government without the influence of the two major parties, by the example of Bulgaria.

– Thus on democratic way to prepare Macedonia for elections through a new electoral law, new electoral lists. To prepare the Commission for the fight against corruption, the State Election Commission and to overcome many of the weaknesses of the system to be able to take part in free and fair elections. People will give power to whom they think they should and will decide which way Macedonia will move. It is right that after holding fair and democratic elections that politicians reach out together to build the future of their country – he said.
