SDSM leader Zoran Zaev today called for a wider civil front for a free Macedonia and against Nikola Gruevski. He called on the people for a free Macedonia to join the coalition partners of the SDSM, political parties, NGOs, associations, trade unions and others.
“Together with the citizens we can restore democracy and bring back freedom, because now it is not a matter of personal choice but a matter of the future of Macedonia. A democratic Macedonia does not accept fraudulent elections. A free Macedonia is for a fair and free media, independent institutions who really fight against corruption and crime. I call on all those who love their country to join this fight”, Zaev said at a press conference.
Speaking to reporters, Zaev confirmed that SDSM will not participate in the elections and again urged non-governmental organizations, associations and similar associations to join the platform.
Zaev said that they have many options available including the blocking the streets, city squares, cities and villages, he said he did not plan to “watch the elections on television”.
