“Enough is enough! This crisis must end. Behind this crisis stands helplessness, fear, destruction, a lost opposition with a lack of ideas. This must stop”, said the leader of the VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski at a press conference.
He urged the opposition to participate in the elections and expressed hope that the SDSM leader Zoran Zaev will change his decision.
“This is not a battle between him and I. This is a battle for Macedonia. I expect Zaev to sincerely reconsider, regardless of his opinion of me, to change his decision and participate in the elections on June 5”, said Gruevski.
He said that every government needs a strong opposition and a strong leader who will not retreat during the most sensitive moments in the country.
As for SDSM’s accusations that the ruling party failed to fulfill its obligations to the Przino Agreement, Gruevski said that he will try to survive.
