Zaev and Ahmeti discuss “party positions” without going into too much detail

-

The party leaders of SDSM and DUI, Zoran Zaev and Ali Ahmeti had a meeting today, as informed by SDSM, they talked about the positions of both parties during the post-election period “without going into details or discussions about any specific issues.”

“This is the first meeting on a leadership level between the president of SDSM, Zaev and the president of DUI, Ahmeti, after the early parliamentary elections last year. At the meeting, they generally discussed the positions of both sides, and what they represent during this period without going into details or discussion about certain specific issues”, stated the SDSM press release.

Party representatives are saying that during this period it is possible that there might be new meetings between the two sides and the public will be notified in due time.

The meeting between Zaev and Ahmeti comes one day after talks between DUI’s leader and the president of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, during which, as both parties informed, emphasis was given to two issues, i.e. the “analysis of the results from the elections held on the 11th of December that were assessed as free, fair, and democratic, as well as an analysis of the current political situation.”
