MP and the Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), Talat Xhaferi today submitted a proposal to Parliament – amendments to the Electoral Code, where articles in the law can be deleted such as the dates for the elections.
Xhaferi told “Meta” that in his proposal – amendments to the law should have no new date because party leaders make those decisions, not him.
“This initiative stems from the decision of the Constitutional Court and the interim measures they passed. For now, it is important to delete this article as it conflicts with today’s decision of the highest court”, said Xhaferi.
The DUI coordinator said that this decision was made by the party voluntarily and not in coordination with other political parties.
When asked if he thought other MPs would support the changes, he said that any normal MP would.
