VMRO-DPMNE wants the court to release the detainees suspected of violence on April 27th

-

Dozens of unjustifiably detained citizens, instead of spending New Year with their families, spent the new year in cold cells, says the opposition VMRO-DPMNE and reacted to the prolonged detention of the suspects of violence in Parliament on April 27th.

The party says the detainees are “victims of political persecution, felt by the Inquisition of the 21st Century on their own skin”.

“The detained citizens are deprived of the guaranteed human rights, and the procedure against them is illegal and unfounded from the very beginning. The non-observance of the laws during their detentainment was confirmed by the Ombudsman. A fact that the PPO and the court kept silent.

Therefore, they ask the court to “perceive the legal arguments and the factual situation” and to abolish the pre-trial detentions.
