Tomorrow the streets will be sprayed with Calcium magnesium acetate

The City of Skopje tomorrow at 11:30 am, at the intersection of boulevard “St. Kliment Ohridski” with the street “St. Cyril and Methodius” will start by treating the city streets with the component Calcium magnesium acetate, as one of the measures to reduce air pollution.

Calcium-magnesium-acetate is a component used to control and reduce fine dust and PM10 and PM2,5 particles, and to stabilise the roads.

“It is important to emphasize that the speed of streets where you apply asset calcium magnesium acetate will be limited to 40 mph due to possible occurrence of slippery parts of the road. The streets will bet set up with the appropriate traffic signs. The City of Skopje for this purpose has prepared a traffic project. The choice of the three roads, boulevard “St. Kliment Ohridski” and streets “St. Cyril and Methodius” and “Jordan Mijalkov” is because in the immediate vicinity is the measuring station for the air quality of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and most will be able to compare results before and after the treatment with CMA”, stated the City of Skopje.
