Tomorrow in two newspapers a public invitation will be published for the position of General Secretary of the State Election Commission (SEC).
The SEC said at yesterday’s session they adopted the rule book on the manner and procedure for the election of the Secretary General of this highest electoral department.
The SEC Chairman Aleksander Chicakovski, who has a Masters in Law and has worked as a legal consultant to the NGO “Most”, as well as judicial assistant in the Basic Court Skopje 2.
Vice president Rezdep Prekopuca in his biography has stated that he worked in Parliament as an associate in the Municipal Election Commission in Aracinovo.
The third member from the experts is political scientist Atanas Urumov. Besides the three experts, the SEC has six party members, Silvana Boneva and Saso Srcev from VMRO-DPMNE, Violeta Duma and Igor Milev from SDSM, Subhi Jakupi from DUI and Bedredin Ibrahimi from DPA.
With the new amendments to the law, the SEC will have increased powers and will be responsible only for maintaining and updating the voters list.
