The State Election Commission has selected the offer from the company “Advance Media” for the supply of tablet computers for committee members. Under the agreement with the company, the SEC will buy 12 tablet computers at the price of 44.000 denars without VAT or 713 euros for a tablet computer. The initial value assessment of the notice posted on the electronic procurement system (ESPP) was 255,000 denars without VAT, and now, after the repeating the procedure, the procurement costs a total of 528,000 denars without VAT.
On 12 November the first advertisement was published for the purchase, with a deadline for applications on the 19 November. However, the Commission found that the ESPP tender contained significant oversights and flaws within its documentation, so they suggested that the tender should be cancelled.
After the tender was repeated “Advance Media” was chosen, as they had the lowest price out of all the five candidates. This procedure is not open to public bids, and the lowest price was the basic criterion for this tender.
