The reconstruction of the highway between Negotino and Demir Kapija has been completed and the roan in the length of 15.4km has been put to use. This project which was worth over 5 million euros was late several months.
-There were additional drawbacks and 300 m of the road had to be repaired – informs the Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads, Zoran Kitanov.
This part of the road at Corridor 10 was the most damaged and the pad had to be taken out before the new asphalt was applied. Director Kitanov informs that with the completion of this task, the highway at its entire length starting from Tabanovce to Gevgelija will be completely functional. This enterprise’s next step will be the reconstruction of damaged roads at Hippodrome-Miladinovci, Miladinovci – Petrovec and Petrovec – Hippodrome at Skopje’s eastern exit.
The reconstruction of all roads in Corridor 10 is done with assets from the Public Enterprise’s own budget, that uses the income from pay tolls, taxes, and excise. The reconstruction was performed by Granit construction company while the project documentation was prepared by GEING KUK International.
