The Bulgarian-Macedonian Commission will be discussing Goce Delchev in Sofia

In Sofia, during the latest meeting of the joint Macedonian-Bulgarian expert commission, there will be a discussion today about the character of Goce Delchev and his deeds and to whom this Macedonian revolutionary belongs to.

Yesterday, during this two-day meeting, the experts in Sofia worked according to previously exchanged proposed ideas in order to adjust the recommendations for the books for 7th grade in Republic of Macedonia and the 6th grade in Bulgaria.

“There are serious differences regarding the approach and the understanding of medieval history and regarding the terminology and the use of certain terms in school books that refer to the medieval period” informed the commission.

Despite the differences, the member of the Commission have adjusted some of the remarks regarding the general issues that exist in the school books in both countries.
