Tomorrow, on 25th of December, the Association of Journalists in Macedonia will be promoting two publications “Chronicles of journalists’ (non) safety” including “Attacks on Journalists and Media Workers on the 27th of April 2017.” The publications will be promoted at the Europe House (the former EU Info Center) starting at 11 o’clock.
AJM’s President Mladen Chadikovski has recently issued a message that the journalists mustn’t be attacked because they are doing their job.
“The second message is issued to the institutions i.e. the legal organs that the attacks on journalists must be processed as quick as possible in order for our country’s democracy to be protected” stressed Chadikovski.
According to AJM, the impunity leads only to self-censorship and is limiting the space for free media and is making this profession to be unattractive for young people.
