For the second quarter of the year, according to the State Statistical Office, the unemployment rate is at 24%. The number of the active population is 948,376 people, of which 720,674 are employed and 227,702 are unemployed. In the first quarter of this year, the unemployment rate dropped by 0.5%.

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the II quarter of 2015, the labour force in the Republic of Macedonia is at 956 174 persons, of which 699 578 are employed, while 256 596 are unemployed. The activity rate in this period was 57%, the employment rate is 41.7 percent, while the unemployment rate is 26.8 percent.
