Syndicates displeased with Macedonian Government

Several labor syndicates, civil organizations and associations disagree with the Government’s third set of economic aid and reacted since it was adopted without any prior adjustment with their opinions and requests that were accentuated during the joint meeting with representatives of the Government. In their joint press release it states that the Government hasn’t accepted any of the proposals.

“We are especially displeased by the economic measure consisting of providing funds for a time period of only two months for persons that were laid off which the means that the Government didn’t meet the agreement we have reached at the meeting on the 30th of April when we reached an agreement these persons to be part of the systematic solution for insurance in case of unemployment. They should receive compensations during a certain time period depending on the length of their service and not just two months.”

The labor syndicates object to the decision to have much more assets allocated for the aid to  companies than for the citizens (three times more) and the measure with payment cards is open for manipulations because of their procurement and production for which it is highly likely there will be a tender.
