“Student plenum” responded to the adoption of the Law on higher education. On their Facebook page, they wrote that the autonomy of universities and the idea that students are part of this society are buried this way.
“University is for the students, it exists and develops for them. You just passed a law that doesn’t only bury the autonomy and universities themselves, but also the idea that students are part of this society. We are the future of Macedonia, and you today destroyed the road that we need to rise as citizens.
But won’t allow it and won’t give up. We proved our pure goal and you will again hear it, because STUDENTS do not subside!
We feel a civic responsibility to protect free thought. Authorities cannot be absolute, and therefore: We will boycott, we will block and we will occupy” reads the Facebook page of “Student plenum”.
