Siljanovska-Davkova called for early parliamentary elections

-

VMRO-DPMNE presidential candidate, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova said that tonight’s results of over 300,000 votes showed that citizens are deeply disappointed with the government.

“If you compare the number of votes for the opposition and those who voted for Reka, the difference is more than 70,000 votes. The opposition managed to point out and to convince citizens of the absence of law and justice. We can tell stories about the EU and NATO, however, only with the rule of law can we start negotiations. This country needs a new profile of politicians, a new democratic culture and new leadership”, said Siljanovska-Davkova.

She added that she will not sink into a sense of triumphalism, but the battle is yet to come and she also associated the presidential elections with early parliamentary elections, because “in two and half years the government exhausted its legitimacy and is in free fall”, Siljanovska – Davkova said.

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said that they had won, but hadn’t completely defeated the government, and that’s why the second round is important.

“Justice that we united for is coming, this government brings injustice, corruption and crime. This is the new reality. The government is illegitimate, the fall of Zoran Zaev has begun. The people are apathetic, dissatisfied and are in revolt”, said Mickoski.
