There is an ongoing dismantling of “freedom camp” since last night the opposition leader Zoran Zaev thanked the campers, crediting them for their persistent support in the fight.
Most of the camp is dismantled, some tents are raised, the inventory is ready for carrying, the stage is being dismantled, and campers are packing.
In front of the government there is no greater movement. Smaller tents on the lawn still stand and during the day they will be removed.
“Camp of Liberty” was created on May 17, the night after the great civil protest and campers stayed there for two months, in order for the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski to leave the government.
The decision on the dismantling of the camp fell since the leaders of the four political parties, with the mediation of EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn reached an agreement for exit of the political crisis in the country.
