A petition for Law on freelancers to reach the Constitutional Court is being prepared

A petition to the Constitutional Court to challenge the legal solutions for freelancers is being prepared by part of the trade unions, NGOs and civil movements that protested against the law to pay social contributions for fees.

In accordance with recent amendments, some freelancers whose income is higher than the minimum wage in the country are required to pay contributions for pension and health insurance. The amendments include contracts work, copyright agreements, other contracts for performing physical and/or intellectual work with which the individual has an income that has a net amount higher than the amount of the minimum wage, which, as of this year, is 9,590 denars.
