SDSM leader Zoran Zaev yesterday announced the second “bomb” with telephone recordings, which, according to him, revealed that there is no rule of law and show a fusion between the executive authority and the judiciary. At the press conference were published recordings of tapping government officials involved in setups regarding prosecution and the judiciary.
According to SDSM, the first “bomb” was only a taste of the criminal affairs of the Government, and each subsequent press conference will likely be thematic.
It seems that the strategy of the opposition party is slowly revealing – “bombs” are targeting the most prominent officials of the governing party, Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska, Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski, and director of UBK Sasho Mijalkov.
If yesterday’s bomb was about the judiciary, it is expected next to be about the economy, the tenders, the church, the name dispute and the like.
– The announcement of bombs has no connection with the report, we simply have to open all chapters, one by one – say SDSM unofficially.
Judging by everything presented so far, it seems that SDSM is moving correctly on or very close to the remarks which are included in almost every annual progress report about Macedonia of the EU.
It can be clearly seen/heard that government officials agreed appointments and moves that are not in their jurisdiction, that the party is trampling each other authority in the country, but, it seems that everyone expects something more – “bombs” for corruption, tenders, money, the name …
Anyhow, according to speculation, SDSM will publish evidence about 30 days and, if this pace of a press conference per week continues, we can expect five or six addresses of Zaev.
Then things will become clearer. Either everything will happen as Zaev predicted, i.e. the Government will fall in three days, which has never happened until now, or SDSM leader will have to resign, as he announced.
The second thing that is unknown is what the prosecution will do, because it can either accept criminal charges for Zaev or rejected them.
