At the meeting of the Executive Board of SDSM, they unanimously decided that the SDSM finds it unacceptable to hold elections without a free media and without a renewed electoral roll. In such elections SDSM will not participate, the party announced.
“With an electoral roll which is not renewed and they want to use the dark media “family” to save their own skin. Therefore Nikola Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE did not meet key commitments of the Przhino Agreement. In accordance with the Przhino Agreement, regulation of the media was to be sorted by the end of August 2015. Additionally, with selection of the SEC delayed by the outgoing government for five months, the electoral roll could not be updated”, said SDSM.
The party announced that they will continue to fight for the creation for fair and democratic conditions for holding the elections by all democratic means at their disposal.
