As of today, Macedonian language can be fully present online by registering Cyrillic websites with national domain “мкд”, including the characteristic letters of the alphabet – љ, њ, ѓ, ж, ч, ш and џ.
As ministers of information society and administration and culture Ivo Ivanovski and Elizabeta Kancheska Milevska announced, the domain “mkd” is registered in the International Internet space. Thus, Macedonia became the fifth country in the world to establish national Cyrillic domain in Cyrillic, after Russia, Serbia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
The first website in Cyrillic, “vlada.mkd” is already established.
