Prosecution’s investigation shows Krpač committed suicide

According to a preliminary investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje Kosta Krpač who was found dead at his apartment in Kapistec on April 27, with a gunshot wound to the chest, had committed suicide.

In a brief statement made by the Public Prosecution, it said that although the preliminary investigation is confidential, they wanted to share this information with the public in order to put a stop to any speculation about the circumstances of Kosta Krpač’s death.

“The Public Prosecution Skopje informs the public that the current preliminary investigation into the case of the deceased K.K. has determined that his death was a result of suicide. Despite the confidentiality of the preliminary investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje has decided to inform the public in order to eliminate any speculation. The prosecution’s case, however, is still ongoing and will continue looking into the causes and circumstances regarding the death of the person known as K.K. “, said the statement from the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Kosta Krpač was one of the 56 people pardoned by President Gjorge Ivanov.

A day after the death of Kosta Krpač, the Special Public Prosecution stated that he was to be a witness in one of their preliminary investigations, however, he was not a suspect.

Therefore, the SPO has publicly urged President Ivanov to explain why Kosta Krpač was granted a pardon along with the other 56 people.
