Plenković: We will do all we can for North Macedonia to receive a date in June

-

In a statement to MIA, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that Croatia will do everything it can to help North Macedonia receive a date for negotiations in June, reports a correspondent from MIA from Brussels.

Plenković, who visited Brussels on Friday afternoon and whose country is taking over the helms of the EU presidency next year, reminded that enlargement will be high on his country’s agenda.

Asked by MIA whether his country will try to convince other countries who are still hesitant for negotiations to start at the next Council of Ministers in June, he said that Croatia understands very well that a breakthrough is important.

“All of our friends in what is now North Macedonia are very aware of how much we support their European path”, said Plenković.
