The Ombudsman, Izet Memeti said that Friday’s police operation in Aracinovo and Lipkovo was intended to intimidate the population and added that yesterday’s statement by Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski sounder as if he was confused, reports “Alsat-M“.
According to Memeti it is unacceptable that for the last few days there has been police operations, as the people know whats going on.
“It is very easy to create doubts in the citizens, this is done for political reasons or is nationally motivated. It’s really bad for Macedonia as we have a fragile society where all trust in institutions has been lost”, said Memeti and urged officials to stop using police forces for their own political purposes.
According to Memeti the police operations in Aracinovo and Lipkovo were the result of fighting the between the government and the opposition in the interim government. He said that both parties came out with systematic and confused statements because they abused the institutions for political purposes.
