Negotiations between the working groups of the parties signatory to the Przhino Agreement and Peter Vanhoutte lasted late into the night, and at 2:30 am, they still had no success.
At the meeting, apart from mediator Peter Vanhoutte, Ilija Dimovski and Silvana Boneva from VMRO-DPMNE attended, Damijan Manchevski and Cvetanka Ilieva from SDSM attended, Artan Grubi and Fatmir Besimi from DUI and Bekim Fazliu and Imer Aliu of DPA attended.
Yesterday at the joint meeting after bilateral agreements of the parties, Mr Vanhoutte submitted a draft proposal of the electoral law.
“Meta” learned that the only issue on the agenda agreed upon is the choice and decision making of the State Election Commission, while the matter of the Diaspora vote remains controversial. The resolution of this issue will depend on the manner of voting at the next parliamentary elections, or whether it will be a majority or proportional model.
