Minister Remenski: Dime Spasov left 6603 households without social welfare

-

During a special inspection of all social welfare centres across the country. Investigators today found many shortcomings in the operation of these institutions, said the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Frosina Remenski.

“From September 2014 to September 2015 the number of households receiving social welfare decreased. 6603 households no longer received social welfare. If we have 6603 households with a minimum of four people per household, the number is 26 412 people left hungry and without livelihoods due to the bad policies of VMRO-DPMNE. As already announced, 1,400 cases have appealed for their social welfare and it is has not been dealt with from February to November 15, 2015”, said Minister Remenski.

She said that the previous Minister of Labour and Social Policy, contrary to its legal obligation, failed to come to a decision on the complaints for around 1,400 families who have lost their right to social welfare.

“The previous Minister, deciding on these complaints recklessly and with no conscience, knowing that he was violating the law, passed on the complaints and cases to a probation official at the ministry, who has the right to decide on the request of citizens in administrative procedures. This officer selectively decided the fate of these families”, said Minister Remenski.
