Metamorphosis Foundation starts channels for instant communication between journalists and institutions in North Macedonia

-

Metamorphosis Foundation has started an initiative for instant messaging communication between the institutions and the journalists in North Macedonia for the sake of checking the truthfulness of content delivered to the public, Council of Media Ethics informs.

“Four closed WhatsApp groups were formed for the following subjects that are of special public interest, both for the state and the citizens: (1) COVID-19, (2) Integrations, (3) Census, and (4) Environment. In these groups, representatives of the institutions will be answering journalist questions in order to confirm certain information or to uncover disinformation concerning these subjects. The initiative has a goal to ease the journalists’ work regarding the approach, receiving and exchanging checked information quickly,” stated the press release.
