Macedonian Ministry of Interior calls upon citizens to collect their ID cards

-

МThe Ministry of Interior (MoI) has called upon the citizens to collect their ID cards. These are identification cards that were already printed and are supposed to be collected by the citizens.

“Over 35.000 ID cards that were printed in the past period are awaiting to be collected by the citizens” said MOI’s press release.

Apart from MOI’s reaction, the State Election Commission (SEC) has appealed to the citizens to collect their new ID cards in order to be able to cast their votes at the forthcoming parliamentary elections. SEC reminded the citizens that the only way they can exercise their right to cast their vote can be done only with a valid ID document as the ID cards are mostly used during the voting process.

While over 35.000 citizens still haven’t collected their ID cards, several thousand others are in the process of picking up ID cards and are awaiting for new booklets to prepare their documents for identification.
