The French non-paper has ideas that are good and it also has ideas that won’t be easy to be implemented, but what really matters is that the end of the process will mean a fully fledged membership, said today the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimtriov when he replied to a question about the Government’s stance about the French proposal about reforming of the EU accession negotiation process.
He explained that the Government has had a meeting with all departments and has talked with a lot of experts about the French non-paper.
“What is important about the non-paper is that the idea behind it is to speed up the process. For it is important to have one process for all in the region so we can compete shoulder to shoulder with the other countries that are already in the accession process such as Monte Negro and Serbia. Otherwise there will be no reformatory contest. Also, it is important that a consensus is reached sooner among the member countries in order for this process to open up” said Dimitrov.
