The Council of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services today decided to announce a public tender for a religious, Catholic radio in the region of Strumica.
The expert services explained that first the Commission for Relations with the Religious Communities and Groups submitted a request for a non-profit radio, and then the same request was made by the Citizens Association “Radio Maria”.
With two members absent from the Council, the five remaining members unanimously adopted the decision. Councilor Milaim Fetai said there had been previous requests, however a permit was never issued.
Announcing the bid for the public tender is a legal obligation, even though it is already known who wants to open such a radio.
