The Liason offices in Athens and Skopje are upgraded into embassies, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic have exchanges notes which, according to Article 10 of the Agreement for solving the differences described in Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993) of UN’s Security Council, for stopping the Temporary Agreement dated from 1995 and for establishing a strategic partnership between the sides, the Liason office in Athens is upgraded into an Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Office for Consular, Economic and Commercial Affairs in Thessaloniki is upgraded into a General Consulate and at the same time, the Liason Office is upgraded into an Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, the Office for Consular, Economic and Commercial Affairs in Bitola is upgraded into a General Consulate” said MoI’s press release.
