Two municipal regulations officers were physically attacked at the former Vardarishte landfill in the Skopje area by two unknown persons which had been dumping waste illegally and one of the officers was badly injured and was urgently transferred to the City hospital “St. Naum Ohridski”
“Employees of the City Inspectorate were brutally attacked today by persons that were seen dumping waste illegally at the former city landfill Vardarishte and one of the colleagues was seriously injured and is currently in an emergency room” said Miroslav Bogdanovski, the Director of the City of Skopje’s Inspectorate for Meta.mk.
According to him, it is high time the institutions dealt with the problem of illegal waste dumpers and take decisive measures to clear out the illegal activities by organized groups that are operating in that area.
The Ministry of Interior issued a brief announcement that yesterday (11.05.2020) around 11.45 h, a law and order violation was reported
This isn’t the first time such an incident occurrs between illegal waste dumpers and municipal regulation officers or inspectors.
