House arrest has been extended for Saveski and two other demonstrators for another 30 days

The house arrest of Professor Zdravko Saveski, a member of the Levica party was extended for another 30 days, and two other protesters who were arrested during the protests in Skopje against President Ivanov’s decision to grant pardons to officials and their close associates also had their sentences extended, “SDK” announced.

The court initially determined eight days house arrest for Zdravko Saveski, Vladimir Kunovski, both members of the Levica party, and Borjan Evtimov, a member of the “Student plenum”.

“They have extended our house arrest to 30 days from today. Well done, you are all strong “, posted Saveski this afternoon on his Facebook profile.

According to the Criminal Court, “SDK” reports that the Prosecution filed an indictment proposal to extend the house arrest of the three demonstrators.

“Pardoned criminals who are loaded with serious crimes are at large, while students are being imprisoned because of their desire for free thought and passion to restore justice in the country,” reads the statement from the “Student plenum”.
