If the President of the Government is not in the field at all times, than that is not good and it can lead other institutions slowing down and losing touch with the people and their problems, was the answer that Primer Minister Nikola Gruevski gave to a journalist’s question whether his increased activity on the ground can be seen as an elections campaign.
– From the first day on the job I am in constant contact with the people. I am in the field constantly and normally, in the office and in meetings, travels. However, the crucial and basic thing to do is to be in touch with the ground, to feel the needs of the people, their problems, to monitor everything that has been planned, to accomplish all the promises. To some people that seems strange. Some criticize and ridicule this, but I am certain that the majority of the people in Macedonia support this and I will continue to do that in the future- said Prime Minister Gruevski.
