Gruevski: Declassification of foreign investors’ subsidies is harmful

-

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, today at a press conference at the party headquarters, criticized the new government stating it had not achieved any result with foreign investments, nor had it brought new jobs resulting from such investments.

Gruevski believes that the first worrisome signal was the choice of the government ministers in charge of attracting investments.

He also criticized the Government’s decision not to advertise on CNN in the future as an investment destination and assessed their decision as detrimental to the declassification and publication of the subsidies given to foreign investors.

“This is a move that will affect potential investors and their intentions to come to the country to invest. The announced publication of a formal price list for national aid, or whatever one wants to call it, in reality, will result in many lost battles over attracting companies from abroad to create new jobs in Macedonia. These steps raise questions as to whether the new government wants to attract foreign companies to create new jobs in Macedonia”, added Gruevski.
