Macedonia will likely be on the agenda of the meeting of foreign ministers of the EU on Monday at the request of some Member States such as Austria, confirmed sources in the EU Council for META.
Diplomatic sources inform that the security assessment for Macedonia is not negative given that the so-called terrorist group was arrested.
– This is a done deal, we’ll know more when we finish the investigation – said a senior European diplomatic source.
According to the European Union, it is not a matter of an inter-ethnic conflict in Macedonia because all parties, including Albanian, dissociated themselves from the Kumanovo group.
EU diplomats recommend that it is still not clear which that group is, whether it is terrorist or criminal, and an independent investigation in Macedonia is awaited.
European diplomats believe that the statement of President Gjorgje Ivanov that 17 offices of partner countries have been informed, but did not react, was not addressed to the European Union, but that it is much broader.
