EU requests cooperation with Arab countries in the fight against terrorism

European Union today called for anti-terrorism alliance with Arab countries in order to strengthen cooperation and exchange of information on terrorist attacks in France and the arrest of suspected terrorists across Europe.
– We need an alliance. It is necessary to strengthen cooperation – said the head of EU foreign policy Federica Mogerini.
Mogerini today met with Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi.
She also attended the meeting of foreign ministers of the EU, who are preparing for the February summit of European leaders, on which they will discuss about terrorism.
Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said that the police action in his country, in which a terrorist cell was destroyed last week, showed that the exchange of information is crucial to the success of some actions.
